Caring for Orphans, Widows and The Needy!
Seven Spikes Relief Foundation is a UK registered charity (No. 1170486) based in London and managed by a number of dedicated people with a concern for the Ummah. Our aim is to provide relief to the needy, based on first-hand knowledge of the beneficiaries’ conditions and needs. We currently support the Ummah in many countries through various projects such as monthly financial aid, food duistribution, medical help, educational projects, building orphanages and Islamic schools, installing water well and desalination plants, providing income-generating projects, orphans sponsorshipm widows support, poor girls marriage, settlement of debts of the most needy, Qurabanis and sacrifices etc. Please have a look at the various causes and watch the media on our website and social media for more information on these and more projects. Thanks to our dedicated team of volunteers in the field and our initial donor-founders covering additional dministrative costs and expenses incurred, we, adopt a 100% Donations Policy as we will NOT use part of your donation for advertising or administrative fees etc. Furthermore, we assure you that only those who genuinely deserve your donation will receive it. All recipients of our regular aid are Zakah-eligible so you can pay your Zakat/ Sadaqah, Fitrah, Fidyah, Kaffarah, etc and be sure that 100% of it will go to those who genuinely deserve.
Our name “Seven Spikes” is derived from the Qur’anic verse that reads: {The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain], which grows SEVEN SPIKES; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.} [Surat al-Baqarah (chapter 2): Verse 261]. Thus, “Seven Spikes” is an indication of how the reward of what you spend as a charity or Zakat is multiplied by seven hundred in the same way a single grain of wheat grows seven spikes (ears) with each spike containing hundred grains, totaling seven hundred. Thus as a single grain has produced seven hundred grains, Allah, the Exalted, multiplies the reward of your donation by seven hundred or more. This is confirmed by the Prophetic Hadith in which the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “He who gives in charity the value of a date which he purely lawfully earned, and Allah accepts only that which is lawful pure, Allah accepts it with His Right Hand and fosters it for him, as one of you fosters his foal, until it becomes like a mountain.” [Al- Bukhari and Muslim].
