Bread Parcels Distribution

Cause

As part of our emergency relief ongoing efforts, we are currently implementing a project to distribute bread parcels to displaced families in Gaza, who are struggling with hunger and finding something to eat. Thanks to your generous donations, we were able to procure wheat flour in bulk quantities. Our team of dedicated volunteers then are working tirelessly to bake the flour into fresh, nourishing loaves of bread. With their efforts, we are able to produce approximately 250 loaves from each bag of wheat flour, which is enough to cover 25 families/day. To ensure the bread reaches those most in need, we are distributing packages of 10 loaves to each displaced family in many areas of Gaza, especially the displacement camps and the demolished houses. These bread parcels offer a critical source of sustenance to vulnerable families who left their homes and jobs due to the current conflict.

One 25 kg sack of flour costs about £100, and we currently implement this project twice a week. Each day, the team bakes 15 sacks to produce 3,750 loaves. The number could increase as per the need and funds collected towards it.

The project is 100% donations policy, and all recipients are Zakah-eligible.

By providing this essential staple food, we aim to alleviate hunger and comfort these families.
