SEVEN SPIKES SUMMER CAMP 2025
WHAT AND WHY: Seven Spikes Relief is pleased to offer our Muslim community members of all ages (especially families) a chance to stay together in a beautiful local countryside campsite where they get to know one another more closely and enjoy a semi-local vacation and halal entertainment with various social, religious, sports and cultural activities. The campsite is located in Chelmsford close to London. Thus, we can enjoy the beauty of the countryside and woodlands and get great social and religious benefits while still close to our homes.
WHEN : The last weekend and bank holiday of August, from 12 pm on Saturday 23th of August to 1 pm on Monday (bank holiday) 25th of August 2025. Participants are advised to attend the three days to benefit from the full program and complete experience over the entire camp period..
WHERE: Skreens Park Activity Centre, Skreens Park Road, Roxwell, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 4NL. You can find more about the campsite on their website: www.skreenspark.org.uk. Each family is expected to arrange their own transport and the campsite is easily accessible by various means of transport.
SLEEPING ARRANGMENTS: There are two sleeping arrangements: in tents or in lodges.
Tents: If you want to stay only with your family members at night, then you need to bring your own tent and sleeping bags. Families using their own tents can stay together with their family members without any restrictions on gender. Seven Spikes will NOT set up communal tents , so each family has to bring their own tent. Yet if you would like to hire a tent, please get in touch to book your tent which costs £ 10 per night for tents that sleep up to 4 and £ 20 per night for tents that sleep up to 8 people. It is your responsibility to erect the tent and put it down and clean and dry it thoroughly before giving it back as received.
Lodges: If you would like to stay at night indoor in a bed, then we have booked two big lodges with multiple rooms with bunk beds and mattresses to be shared by people of the same gender. Majority of rooms sleeps between 4 to 8 people per room, so you will be sharing room at night with others. Beds at each room will be assigned to members of the same gender randomly. Members of the same family can stay together in the same room, but males with males and females with females. Kindly note that beds come only with mattresses, so you need to bring your pillow, pillowcase, sleeping bag and bedsheet.
As the campsite is close to London, some people may wish to go and sleep at their homes and then come back in the morning; we do not encourage this as it will deprive you of the full experience, but it is up to each individual/family to choose their sleeping arrangements. As fees are aLready heavily discounted, fees shall remain the same if you choose to sleep at home. All attendees staying over at night and aged 18 or above need to have an updated DBS.
What Is Included
The event is organized and supervised by Seven Spikes Relief, which is a registered charity serving the Muslim Community in various parts of the world, and it is subsidized by the charity. The subsidized fees cover the campsite per head fees, the lodge and facilities, full board including two barbecues and drinks as well as various paid activities. All 3 meals, activities and campsites fees are included in the price below.
Cost
£49.99 per head for tent users and £66.99 per head for lodgers. Fees are for any person aged 4 years or more by the time of the event. Kids under four years old (born after 25th August 2021) go free, but they cannot be assigned a bed on their own. The fees are heavily subsidized by Seven Spikes Relief as a service to the Muslim Community, so the fee is non-refundabel and any donations/extra contributions towards the actual cost are welcome and appreciated.

Activities include Archery, Air Rifles, Zipline, Bouncy Castle, Wall Climbing, Kayaking, Slippery mat, nerf guns, Ropes Course, darts Football, Basketball, Tennis, Celebratons with plenty of treats, two Barbecues, Campfire, in addition to various religious and cultural quizzes and competitions.
